bring on the dancing

About to head off to Aiya Napa with the 24-7 prayer  posse, for a bit of praying and clubbing.  Looking forward to it a lot.

In the meantime have been spending time in London again, its been good.  For a couple days the sky was heavy with rain without actually raining, but everything broke and the air changed in the great way that it does, and it chucked down.  Been lovely since.

Went canoeing on the canal today, nearly fell in.  I think our greatest skill was 360 degree turns.

Home

Saw the sun rise over Amsterdam yesterday morning. Have now seen "Parasite for Rotterdam" for myself, it was beautiful. It's on the roof of a huge warehouse that houses art, and a club. Unfortunately they are not that cheap.

Met some great Rotterdam based architects who use reclaimed or "waste" materials in architecture. They live in a (now communal) block of flats set to be demolished, but they and others convinced the local council to delay until the year 2012, hence the name 2012 architects. Great stuff, very inspired.

Am now back in Edinburgh, have been looking forward to it...missed the beautiful city, and the friends who make it a great place to live.

Will be doing a pilot piece of mobile architecture for the festival, hoping to use only reclaimed materials. The aim is to provide a space within the festival where people are invited to sit and pause. Sometimes needed in the mayhem.
